AMERICANS HAVE THE IMPRESSION THAT CONSERVATIVES AND PROGRESSIVES ARE OPPOSITES. IF THIS WAS EVER TRUE, IT NO LONGER IS. TODAY, BOTH SIDES WANT THE SAME THING - MORE POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE STATE.

ReplyDeleteI voted Republican from the time I was 18 to about a year or so ago. Never missed an election, always voted absentee when I was overseas. But I have realized that neither of them is worth a damn. Now I vote for the good Republicans, or the good Democrats (there are some, Blue Dogs, for instance) but I don't just put my X next to Republican and press the button any more.
